Driveway

kath_driveway.jpg
We spent the weekend working on my youngest sister's new house, a 1924 bungalow for one, stripping paper, patching plaster, painting and prying a zillion staples out of the old carpet padding so she can get the floors refinished. It will be wonderful in a couple of weeks.

My neighbors are moving a 150-year-old barn into their backyard. It looks bigger than my sister's house. Given the small size of yards in this neighborhood, that is saying something. It will block most of the tenement I usually see from my office window, so I can't complain.
